Jolly LLB 3, a film directed by Subhash Kapoor and released on 19th September 2025, features renowned actors Akshay Kumar, Saurabh Shukla, and Arshad Warsi, along with well-known actresses Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Seema Biswas. The story revolves around two advocates, Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi, who engage in a witty battle, creating chaos in the courtroom with their unexpected antics and amusing actions. While Arshad Warsi played the lead role in Jolly LLB, the second part starred Akshay Kumar. With both actors coming together, a “double trouble” situation has been created. The clever portrayal of land laws and anti-corruption issues, along with Saurabh Shukla’s remarkable performance, has captivated fans. In its first five days, the film earned approximately ₹65.5 crores in India and crossed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Although some fans have appreciated the film, most of them found the previous installments to be more engaging. Nevertheless, Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra stated that the actors have maintained strong synchronicity and delivered a commendable performance while addressing important societal issues.

The Inbox Collection

With earnings of ₹12.5 crores on the first day, the movie got off to a great start. Collections increased significantly over the weekend, reaching ₹20 crores. But starting on Monday, September 22, 2025, there was a notable 56% decline, and the movie only made roughly ₹5.5 crores. More than the content and plot, external factors such as the timing of the auspicious Sharad Navratra festival and the organization of Garba nights appear to have affected overall profits. At present, the film’s earnings stand in sharp contrast to Jolly LLB 2, which had earned approximately ₹66.7 crores in its first five days. In comparison with recent releases like Sitare Zameen Par, which grossed ₹160.75 crores, the response to Jolly LLB 3 seems rather underwhelming.

What Does the Audience and Filmmakers State?

The reviews so far have been mixed. While many praised actor Saurabh Shukla for his commendable performance, others found the first two installments of the franchise more engaging. Certain reviews described the film as an impressive courtroom drama, though they noted it lacked the sharp wit of its predecessors, as reported by Hindustan Times. Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra appreciating the film structure and representation of society comments on X, “Jolly LLB is a very brave film about our times. It takes guts and skill to take issues throbbing within our society and then turn them into a popular tale. All the actors are in rhythm and sync as they play their characters.” Audience reactions have also been divided. Some viewers called it “worth the money,” while others criticized it for resembling “pre-1991 cinema” with a “weak storyline.” A section of the audience felt the sequel lacked freshness, though it still resonated due to strong performances and humor.
