Game 2 of the NBA Finals 2025 was a clear statement of fight from the Oklahoma City Thunder against Indiana Pacers, where thunders bounced back with strategic performance winning the game with 107-123 and tied the series by 1-1.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played the main character role once again,
SGA’s tremendous performance was the impelling force behind thunder’s victory. He led the attack from the front, scoring 34 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. SGA was all over the defenders of the pacers, picked right spots, scored jumpers and gave composed performance to maintain the tempo of the game. Stopping SGA seemed a tough nut to crack for the Pacers.

Making things harder than they were, there stood Jalen Williams – shining under the spotlight of finals. A clinical performance from OKC Thunder forward finishing the game with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Williams put on a calculative performance, his three-pointer shot over Pascal Siakam was more than just a highlight material-it was a moment to rise for everyone at the Paycom Centre.

Focusing on the defensive end


Chet Holmgren was an impenetrable fortress for the Pacers. Bringing in the rookie fire big man Holmgren protected the rim with authority, scoring 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. He showed his presence there and changed the way Pacers attack. Luguentz Dort did what he does the best as OKC Thunder’s defensive engine. Guarding and shadowing Tyrese Haliburton relentlessly and cutting off the angles that had hurt them in the Game 1.

The Pacers put on a fight till the end


The pacers came in with the confidence and belief to take the series up by 2-0. Pascal Siakam had another solid performance in the centre finishing with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists- tried his best to keep Pacers in the game. Tyrese Haliburton was comparatively quieter than the previous game but still managed to score 15 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds including a deep 3-pointer keeping Pacers alive in the game, but Thunders didn’t flinch this time.

OKC Thunders outplayed the Pacers and dominated the whole game. They were tactically strong, made smart passes, kept the defence tight and scored right points at right times. Now the series goes ahead to Indianapolis with the series equalled at 1-1 in the finals of NBA 2025. Both teams have shown how they can respond to setbacks and the question for upcoming game is that who can strike first when the series tightens up?
