The draw for the 2025 NextGen ATP Finals, presented by PIF, has officially been released, setting the stage for a highly anticipated showcase of the ATP Tour's brightest talents under 20. The eight-man field has been split into two groups, Blue and Red, with group-stage matches planned to take place from Wednesday to Friday, followed by the semi-finals on Saturday and the final on Sunday.

Blue Group Led by Top Seed Learner Tien

Top seed Learner Tien headlines the Blue Group after a breakthrough 2025 season on the ATP Tour. The 20-year-old American, last year's finalist in Jeddah, enjoyed a standout year that included his first ATP Tour title in Metz, a runner-up finish at the ATP 500 event in Beijing, and deep runs in major events such as the Australian Open and the ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai.

Tien recorded five Top 10 wins during the season and surged to a career-high No. 28 in the PIF ATP Ranking, having begun the year outside the Top 120. His consistent rise makes him one of the favourites at the NextGen ATP Finals 2025.

Joining him in the group are both Spanish representatives in the field, Martin Landaluce and Rafael Jodar, along the way with Norway's Nicolai Budkov Kjaer.

Landaluce arrives in Jeddah, aiming to follow the path of the former champion Carloz Alcaraz. The Spaniard reached the second round at the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati and claimed the ATP Challenger Tour title in Orleans.

Budkov Kjaer enjoyed a prolific Challenger season, capturing titles in Glasgow, Tampere, Astana, and Open de Vendée, becoming the youngest Norwegian to win multiple Challenger trophies in a single year.

Jodar, currently representing the University of Virginia, earned his spot after a late-season surge, winning three Challenger titles in the final three months of the season. The 19-year-old previously served as a sparring partner at last year's event in Jeddah.

Alexander Blockx Tops Competitive Red Group

The Red Group is led by Belgian Alexander Blockx, who will make his NextGen ATP Finals debut following steady progress across the ATP Tour and Challenger circuit. The 20-year-old won Challenger titles in Oeiras and Bratislava, qualified for the ATP Masters 1000 Miami, and claimed his first tour-level win in Cincinnati.

Croastian Dino Prizmic enters the event on the back of a strong 2025 campaign that featured two Challenger titles and a 14-time match-winning streak. He also reached his first ATP Tour quarter-final at the ATP 250 Umag on home soil.

American Nishesh Basavareddy returns to Jeddah for a second consecutive appearance. The Californian reached the Auckland semi-finals earlier in the season and secured tour-level wins in Cincinnati, Winston-Salem, and Hangzhou. He is accompanied by Gilles Cerava, the former coach of Daniil Medvedev.

Rounding out the group is Justin Engel, the 18-year-old German and youngest player in the draw. Engel impressed on home soil with wins at the ATP 500 Hamburg and a quarter-final showing in Stuttgart. He became the second-youngest player since 1990 to win tour-level matches on hard, clay, and grass, a feat previously achieved at a younger age only by Rafael Nadal.

NextGen ATP Finals 2025 Set for High-Stakes Showdown

With a blend of ATP Tour Winners, Challenger standouts, and emerging teenage talents, the NextGen ATP Finals presented by PIF promises a compelling look at the future of men's tennis. As the world's top under-20 players compete in Jeddah, the tournament once again serves as a key platform for the sport's next generation to announce themselves on the global stage.
