In the 3rd game of the NBA Finals 2025, the Indiana Pacers registered a commanding 116-107 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers were at their home under the electrifying Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, after 25 years, and fans boosted players with confidence and power to steal the game from the Thunders.

Pacers showed powerful temperament

The game was swaying like a pendulum for 41 minutes; both teams were resisting. 15 ties, 6 lead changes created real drama and tension, but with 6:35 in the fourth quarter, the game was tangled at 98, and then it happened- Tyrese Haliburton. The modern maestro of Pacers once again stood firmly in a critical situation and paved the team's path towards victory. That 3P jump shot was the point of difference in that moment and ended up scoring 22 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds a near three-double performance.

The bench and the young bloods showed class and resistance

Under the lights of Finals, with ice in his veins, there stood a young shining star with the best performance for the team in the game- Bennedict Mathurin. The 22-year-old Guard-Forward stood out with a magnificent performance of 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist. Joining the bench mob, T.J. McConnell scored 10 points exactly when they needed it. Pascal Siakam showcased his experience once again with 21 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds, including a spectacular turnaround fadeaway early on.

The Thunders seemed to be falling apart in the game.

After a promising win in the previous game Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t look much in the same touch as before. It was clearly visible that the Pacers were overpowering them. Despite of that, OKC gave tough competition to the Thunders. Taking ahead the confidence of the 2025 season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put on another elegant display of play finishing with 24 points, 4 assists, and 8 rebounds.

Alongside SGA, another fan favourite of the Thunders had wonderfully refined excellence on the court, Jalen Williams was the highest scorer for the Thunders in the gamescoring 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. That three-pointer in the last second of third quarter was some extraordinary execution. Chet Holmgren with a double-double fought strongly for his team, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Though OKC players gave their clinical performance, they just couldn’t get hold of the Pacers and fell short to cross that victory line.

Now that the Pacers have the lead, can they continue this momentum and take one step closer to the trophy, or the Thunders will bounce back with a strong comeback against this defeat and make the series level in the next game?
