As a Guinness World Record holder in drone aerial robotics, Redcliff has become a prominent name in Japan’s synchronised drone systems industry. It was founded by Komei Sasaki in 2019, a drone enthusiast who played a pivotal role in the operation of DJI's first flagship store in Japan. While working for an overseas company, he was captivated by the unbridled potential of drone technology. After spending nearly six months adapting foreign drone hardware to conform to Japanese standards of aviation and radio laws, Redcliff finally stepped into the drone show business in 2021. Something which started with a relatively small feat of 300 drones didn't take much time to become the torchbearer of Japan's synchronised drone systems industry. By 2023, Redcliff had secured the top share of the domestic drone show market. In August 2024, Redcliff rose to national fame when founder Komei Sasaki was enlisted in the 'Forbes Japan 30 Under 30 2024' list.

Redcliff Inc grabbed the headlines in April 2025 at the opening day of Osaka Expo by the jaw-droppingly large scale assemblage of 2500 drones, breaking the Guinness World Record™ of “Largest aerial display of a tree formed by multirotors”. Reflecting on the achievement, founder Sasaki remarked that the drone show was not just a light show, but a message that resonates in people's hearts. In addition to this, they have managed official displays for major shows like the Yokohama Port Opening Festival and Nagaoka Fireworks Festival.

What makes them unique?

Pioneered in Japan, these drones combine synchronised flight with pyrotechnics. Furthermore, what sets them apart is their unique marketing approach, which is rooted in a technology that allows drones to form scannable QR codes in the sky. Additionally, they also use 'flash modules', which are six times brighter than standard LEDs to create high-impact 3D visuals.

Redcliff Inc has paved the path for a promising future for drone technology in Japan - a testimony of excellence that is further redefined by the trust of existing investors like Earthshot Fund, Drone Fund, CDIB Capital Innovation Advisors Corporation and Samurai Incubate, among others.
