A girl at South Asian University in South Delhi was assaulted on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was found injured, and her clothes were torn. The incident has alarmed the public, as it comes shortly after a similar case involving an MBBS student who was raped by a man at a hotel in Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area. Women’s safety remains a major cause of concern in the NCR region. The survivor is currently undergoing counselling, and an FIR was registered at the Maidangarhi Police Station around 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both students and faculty members of the university have united in her support.
About the Case
The incident occurred on October 13, 2025, and an FIR was lodged at Maidangarhi Police Station. While the FIR has been registered, an official statement from the survivor is yet to be recorded. The victim, a first-year B.Tech student, has alleged that four accused tore her clothes and attempted to rape her in an under-construction area of the college premises. Investigations have revealed that, prior to the incident, she had received emails and messages demanding sexual favours from an anonymous number. The authenticity of those screenshots is expected to play a crucial role in the investigation. The girl’s injuries and torn clothes are being treated as key pieces of evidence. Meanwhile, CCTV footage is being reviewed, and security officials and guards are being questioned. A sense of fear and unease has spread among students following the incident, prompting renewed concerns about campus safety and security.
Previous Similar Instances, Patterns Under Review
A similar case was registered on October 6, 2025, at Adarsh Nagar Police Station, where an 18-year-old MBBS student from Haryana was allegedly raped. The survivor stated that the accused had invited her to a hotel, where he gave her intoxicants, gained her confidence, and then subjected her to a brutal act of sexual assault, treating her as an object for his gratification. As both investigations continue, questions are now being raised over whether the accused in this case could be linked to the group of four men who allegedly assaulted the South Asian University student.
