The Shakarpur Branch of Delhi Police arrested three accused in connection with the Shastri Park murder case after a shootout in Rohini Sector 28. The suspects, allegedly involved in the murder of a property dealer, were apprehended after sustaining gunshot injuries to their legs during police retaliation. The injured accused were rushed to a hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Police officials said that further investigation is underway.
The three accused are reportedly associated with a gangster gang. The murder occurred on the night of January 24 at around 11:25 pm near the Buland Masjid area in Shastri Park, Delhi. The victim, a resident of Buland Masjid in Shastri Park, Delhi, had taken his 10-year-old daughter to a doctor and, after returning home following dinner, went for a short walk. While attending a phone call near Bihari Chowki, he was surrounded by four assailants who opened fire on him. Police were informed and attempted to take prompt action, while the victim’s family rushed him to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. However, it was too late, and the victim succumbed to his injuries, as doctors declared him dead.
While the investigation is ongoing, the motive of the accused in Shastri Park murder case remains unknown. The suspects have been arrested by the Delhi Police and are currently under custody. At around 11:45 pm near Ajmer Park in Rohini, the accused were spotted riding a white scooty. When police attempted to stop them, the suspects allegedly opened fire and tried to escape but were soon trapped and surrounded by the Delhi Police. In retaliation, the police shot the suspects in their legs to subdue them. The injured accused have been admitted to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Further investigation is underway. His police stated:
"In retaliation, the police fired at the three accused criminals, shooting them in the legs to subdue them. All three injured criminals have been admitted to the hospital."
