

While the shooting of Pati-Patni and Woh 2 was underway in Thornhill Road at Prayagraj , a crew member, Zoheb Solahpurwala, the Producer of BR Chopra Films was assaulted by the local residents.The shooting began on August 15 and is expected to continue till September 11. Locals faced chaos and rush due to the closure of one lane road. The incident was reported by BR Chopra Films' line producer Saurabh Tiwari, to the police a day later, on August 28, 2025 as highlighted by The Times of India.
The Filing of FIR and Action by The Police
According to reports by Outlook India and Deccan Herald, The main accused, identified as Meraj Ali, has been arrested by the police. Under section 91 (2), 115 (2), 352, 351 (2), 351(3) and Section 66 of IT act 2008 an F.I.R at the civil lines police station has been filed. The DCP mentioned , “A police team has been given to the shooting team for security. There was a police team on Thursday to regulate traffic, but some boys made videos with their mobiles resulting in the altercation.” DCP, Abhishek Bharti has now deployed a team for film’s security although there was a traffic control system already in place.

Social Media and Public Reactions
Videos of the incident went viral and have flooded social media. The videos capture a local man walking to the crew member while shooting a car sequence which was making rounds. One of the videos demonstrates that the actors are fighting in the car. It seems to be a scene. Some state the reason of violence was the agitation caused due to road closure and traffic. While some people tried to de-escalate the situation, others were violent. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA), posting on twitter strongly condemned the attack demanding immediate action and stated that the Uttar Pradesh Government "must guarantee strict and foolproof security for all film shootings across the state." According to NDTV reports, the filmmakers have not issued any official confirmation regarding the fight that escalated into physical violence, though clips circulating on social media have sparked widespread discussion. Silence of the film makers on the conflict that led to violence leave a great deal of questions in the public.
