The Traitors India season 2 has a new controversy on its hands. Former contestants Krystle D'Souza and Shahneel Gill have both raised questions about how Parul Gulati played the game. Gulati, eliminated recently, stood out early on for repeatedly calling out who she thought the Traitors were. At the time it looked like sharp instinct. Now people are asking if she had help from outside the game.
D'Souza said she was disappointed by the whole thing and questioned how Gulati kept sounding so sure about the Traitors' identities. She brought up the moment early in the season when Gulati suspected her, saying the reasoning behind that suspicion never quite added up. If someone had access to information the rest of the contestants didn't, D'Souza said, that's unfair to everyone else in the game.
Gill went further, comparing what he alleges happened to match fixing. He explained that every contestant on the show is paired with a production âshadowâ who helps them during filming, and claimed one of these shadows may have been paid to leak the Traitors' identities. That, he suggested, would explain Gulati's uncanny hit rate, the kind other contestants had chalked up to a sixth sense.
Gulati has responded on social media, calling herself innocent and pushing back against the story taking shape around her. Nothing D'Souza or Gill has alleged has been backed by public evidence so far. No one has confirmed that Gulati paid a crew member or got hold of information she shouldn't have had.
Even so, the allegations have given The Traitors 2 another storyline to chew on, one about fairness and how much of the game happens off camera. Gulati's elimination was already a talking point. Now her strategy might be the thing people remember most about the season.
