The term âGullakâ symbolizes a collection of moments rather than stories (âkisse hain kahaniyan nahiâ) that are stored in the brown metal piggy bank, or gullak. The previous season captured the tensions between the sons, Annu and Aman Mishra, and their father, Santosh Mishra, as well as his wife, Shanti Mishra, who struggles with promotions, career-related concerns, and domestic issues such as electricity cuts and the motor not working, along with familial conflicts between the father and his sons. The comedy involving the neighbours adds a refreshing touch to the series and makes it more relatable and entertaining for viewers.
While Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayar, and Shweta Basu Prasad continue to play their roles as Santosh Mishra, Shanti Mishra, Aman Mishra, and Vidya Mishra respectively, a major change has been seen in the cast. Vaibhav Raj Gupta has been replaced by Anant V Joshi, who is well known for his role in 12th Fail.
