Sushant Singh Rajput Post-Mortem: Shweta Singh Kirti Alleges Injuries, Stun Gun Use

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death continues to remain a subject of public discussion and speculation. Not more than six years ago, the actor was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. Sushant, who was 34, was found hanging in his apartment, leading to investigations by the Mumbai Police, Bihar Police and later the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The case also led to several allegations and theories surrounding the circumstances of his death. Now, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has once again spoken about the case. She has revealed new details related to the actor’s post-mortem.

Post-Mortem Details Revealed By Shweta

In a recent video message on her social media, Shweta claimed that she had recently learnt details from the person who conducted Sushant’s post-mortem. She said the person allegedly told the family that a stun gun was used around the actor’s neck, his leg was broken and that “a lot of force” had been used on him. She also said that his eyes were hurt.

These claims have not been independently established through the official post-mortem record publicly available from the 2020 investigation. According to his last reports on the final post-mortem conducted at Cooper Hospital, the cause of death was asphyxia due to hanging and that no external injuries or signs of struggle were found.

What Earlier Investigations Found

The latest claims are very different from the findings reported during the initial investigation. The final post-mortem report in June 2020 reportedly stated that there were no external injuries or struggle marks and described the death as a case of suicide. A five-member forensic team from AIIMS also examined the case as part of the CBI investigation later. In March 2025, the CBI filed a closure report after its investigation. It stated that it had found no evidence of foul play or criminal conspiracy in connection with Rajput’s death. The closure report was submitted to the court, which was to decide whether to accept it or order further investigation.

Shweta Continues To Raise Questions

Sushant's Sister Shweta has continued to question the CBI’s findings. In an interview in August 2026, she said that several questions surrounding her brother’s death remained unanswered. It also included questions about the post-mortem and the circumstances inside his apartment. She also said that she no longer seeks closure from the CBI and wants to focus on preserving and celebrating Sushant’s legacy.

In her latest video, however, Shweta clarified that her message was not against seeking justice. She said she did not want people to be consumed by hatred or revenge, stressing instead love, faith and goodness while continuing to speak about what she believes happened to her brother.
