Daayra release confirmed: Kareena and Prithviraj together

Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film Daayra is set to be released in September. For the first time, Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran are set to work together. The crime thriller's poster has been released, while the trailer is expected to be released at the end of this month.

The crime thriller Daayra features Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Fans are excited because this is the first film to feature Kareena and Prithviraj together. The film is set to be released on 18 September and would be available both in Hindi and Malayalam. While the poster has been released, the trailer is expected to be released on 31 August 2026. Inspired by true events, the film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and backed by Junglee Pictures.

In the new poster, Kareena and Prithviraj are seen standing back-to-back. Police tape surrounds them, while an unclear face can be seen in the background. Prithviraj is seen wearing a dark-coloured police uniform with a serious expression, while Kareena wears a blue-coloured uniform and looks straight at the camera. The unusual design raises several questions about the characters and their connection to the story. Both officers investigate the same truth from two different perspectives. The film seems to be a representation of truth, accountability, and justice.

What the Actress States About the Film

Actress Kareena Kapoor had earlier posted on social media that she felt grateful for the opportunity to work with Meghna Gulzar and Prithviraj. She stated:
