Recent NEET racket busted in Delhi made fake promises to students and NEET aspirants of securing admission in MBBS. Four accused have been arrested and reportedly 18 students have been rescued. The admission racket involved 149 pages of purported question answer material and three blank signed cheques belonging to the victims.

About the NEET Admission Racket

The NEET admission racket was busted in Delhi on 2nd May 2026, just a day before the examination was scheduled to be conducted. A tip-off from the Surat Police led to an investigation by the Delhi Police into a racket that allegedly promised MBBS admissions to aspirants in exchange for Rs. 20–25 lakhs. Around 18 minors were reportedly taken into confidence. The accused allegedly collected marksheets, cheques, and other important documents from the aspirants. The minors were reportedly separated from their parents as part of what police suspect was a larger operation. Purported NEET question papers were also prepared as part of the scam.

The Delhi Police launched investigations and conducted searches across nearly 100 hotels. A technical surveillance operation was also launched in Mahipalpur Extension. While some minors were rescued near a hospital in Ghaziabad, others were rescued during a raid at a flat in the area. Police also seized a 149-page document, three signed blank cheques, and other evidence. Four accused have been arrested out of which one was a doctor. The minors and other aspirants were later counselled and allowed to appear for the examination the following day.

DCP Sanjeev Kumar talking about the racket and investigations stated:

Given the proximity to the exam date, a technical surveillance operation was launched and the number was traced to Mahipalpur Extension, following which a team began an extensive search operation.
