A 22 year old girl was raped and murdered in Delhi. She was an IIT graduate and the daughter of a Delhi IRS officer. The accused is reported to be a 19 year old teenager who fled from Alwar, Rajasthan where he was also allegedly involved in another case of sexual violence.
The Rajasthan and Delhi Police are working on the case. While the accused has been arrsted, the motive of the accused and further investigations are ongoing. CCTV footage is also being examined, and an FIR has been lodged.

About The Rape in Rajasthan
The teenage accused is alleged in a rape case in Rajasthan, Alwar, where a woman was raped and threatened by the accused not to tell anyone about the incident. The threat, as the woman mentioned, was to kill her husband and children. An FIR was lodged against the accused, who had fled with the help of an ambulance to South Delhi, selling his phone and also allegedly not paying the required amount of around Rs. 6,000 to the driver.
The Rajasthan Police based on the FIR stated:
“The survivor’s husband had gone to his village for a wedding, while she stayed back with her two children."
About the Rape and Murder in Delhi
The accused alleged of rape is claimed to be a domestic worker in South Delhi. CCTV footage confirms that he had entered the gated premises in Kailash Hills on a weekly basis. He is known to be familiar with all security systems and daily routines, including who leaves and when. He could easily pass by the tight security and unlock four locks using keys and passcodes. The accused was found with a bag and different clothes in the CCTV footage that raised further suspicion.
About the Incident in Delhi
The accused entered her room when the 22-year-old girl was studying. Sources confirm the IIT graduate to be a UPSC aspirant. He informed her that he had been called out for some work. Demanding money, both the girl and the accused had an argument. The girl was struck with a lamp and strangled with a mobile charging cable, which resulted in injuries thereafter she was raped.
The girl was further dragged down the stairs into the room. Her blood-stained thumbprint could not open the locker. She was dead by then. The accused used a screwdriver, packing jewellery and money as well as cleaning the blood-stained thumbprint and changing his clothes before he left. Sources reveal that the accused is addicted to gambling and played "Teen Patti." While the Police Commissioner stated:
"He would borrow money from other servants in the vicinity, or from domestic staff working in nearby households, without ever repaying them. This is why he was fired."
The accused has now been arrested and further investigations and interogattions continue.
