Delhi Cab Driver Murder: Police Arrest 3 Accused, 1 Absconding
Delhi Police have arrested three accused who allegedly murdered a cab driver recovering the murder weapon, blood stained car, clothes and other evidence. One accused is absconding.

A cab driver was recently killed in Krishna Nagar, East Delhi. Delhi Police has cracked the case by apprehending three suspects, including a minor, while a fourth accused remains absconding. Although police have resolved the core mystery of the blind murder case, further investigations are currently ongoing.
About the Murder
The incident occurred on July 23 2026. The victim was a 40-year-old cab driver, who was a resident of West Vinod Nagar. Police initiated action after receiving a PCR call reporting a man lying with multiple stab injuries inside his Maruti WagonR cab in East Delhi.
He was rushed to Dr Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A case was registered under murder charges at the Krishna Nagar police station. While the police investigate the case, the victim's family protests and demands justice.
About the Police Investigations
Through call records, technical surveillance and CCTV footage. The Delhi Police traced the accused to New Seelampur. Investigations revealed that four individuals had consumed liquor together before planning to rob a cab driver for quick cash. One of the accused arranged the knife used in the crime while the other booked a Rapido cab to V3S Mall using his mobile phone.
After boarding the cab, the accused stabbed the driver near the Chitra Vihar red light crossing. After dumping him, they took control of the vehicle. However, they rammed into another vehicle midway and were chased by members of the public. Panicked, they abandoned the blood-stained car near the East Azad Nagar Metro Station and fled.

The accused have been identified. Two of the accused, aged 20 and 19, have prior criminal records, with one facing four previous cases of robbery and snatching and the other having a previous snatching case against him. The third apprehended individual is a 17-year-old juvenile, while the fourth accused remains absconding.
Regarding the search for the remaining suspect, a senior police officer stated:
Following sustained surveillance and coordinated raids, police apprehended three suspects, while the fourth accused was identified and efforts are underway to arrest him.
